Smart Assist for Sheets on Mobile, now available!

Smart Assist is now available inside sheets in the Smartsheet mobile app (iOS and Android). Managers and supervisors who check work from their phones can open a sheet, tap the Smart Assist button in the toolbar, and get an instant AI read-out of status — how many items are complete, in progress, at risk, or blocked, plus what needs attention next — without scrolling the grid on a small screen. Suggested prompts help you summarize the sheet, surface tasks assigned to you, show overdue items, add a column, or create a new sheet, and you can draft an update to share with a collaborator right from the panel. Smart Assist is sheet-aware and permission-aware — it only surfaces data you already have access to, and it confirms before making any changes. This first release covers sheets, with a set of AI tools plus a chat fallback; hands-free Conversational Mode with voice is planned as a mobile-only follow-up in a later release.
