Scale breaks things. Here's how the Smartsheet API fixes that. Every Builder and Architect hits the same wall: what works for one sheet or project breaks down at ten, fifty, or five hundred. This session shows how the Smartsheet API solves the "one-to-many" problem through three use cases: standardized project plans across dozens of engagements, replicating a proven structure at scale, and webhook-triggered automations reacting to changes in real time. This is a pattern library: attendees see the API building blocks (templates, bulk operations, webhooks) that solve all three.

liyan is a Senior Product Manager at Smartsheet, focused on developer experiences and Public APIs. He brings two decades of experience across product management, software development, and quality engineering, with a strong focus on building high-quality products that solve real customer problems and deliver exceptional experiences. He is particularly interested in how APIs, AI, and emerging technologies are reshaping the way people build, integrate, and work with software.

Chad Eiring

Enterprise Technical Solutions Engineer

Chad Eiring is an Enterprise Technical Solutions Engineer. He currently resides in El Paso, TX. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in electrical engineering, and the University of Utah with a masters degree in business administration. He holds his Project Management Professional (PMP) and LSS Master Black Belt certifications. Prior to joining Smartsheet, Chad spent over 20 years working in engineering, project and program management, Lean Six Sigma, data science, and new product development.
